How to get a permanent residence permit in Ukraine through relatives?

Who can get a permanent residence permit on this basis:

  • A person who is legally in Ukraine (on the basis of residence permit, type C visa, etc.);

  • A person who has a valid passport on the basis of which he or she enters Ukraine;

  • A person who has family ties with a foreigner legally residing in Ukraine and documents to prove it.

In order to obtain a permanent residence permit, all three of the above conditions must be met.

At the same time, a Permanent Residence Permit can be obtained only on the basis of such family ties:

  • Marriage;

  • Ukrainians are parents of an immigrant;

  • Ukrainians are minor children of an immigrant (persons under 18 years old).

The process of obtaining a permanent residence permit will consist of two stages:

  • Obtaining an immigration permit (longer, the period of review of documents takes approximately 1 year);

  • Obtaining a permanent residence permit in Ukraine.

For each of the mentioned stages, you will need to form your own package of documents and go through a different procedure.

One of the main documents to be submitted is a document confirming the family ties, on the basis of which you want to obtain a permanent residence permit in Ukraine. Depending on the nature of your family ties, the confirming documents may be different. There are also complicated cases when such documents are lost; in such a situation, the first thing to do is to recover or obtain duplicates of these documents.

Here is a standard list of possible supporting documents:

  • for a spouse - the original marriage certificate (with translation)

  • For parents, you need the original birth certificate of the receiving party, in which they are listed as parents (with translation)

  • For children, the original birth certificate where the other party is listed as parent (with translation) is needed.

Of course, you will also need personal documents of the immigrant, documents for entry into Ukraine and insurance in Ukraine.

Our team will help you not only with the preparation of all required documents, but also with all stages of the procedure.
