Work authorization document for German citizen in Ukraine

In the previous publication we described a project which covered company registration for a citizen of Germany in Ukraine. Due to certain regulatory requirements of Ukrainian laws he could not become director/CEO of the company at once and required an interim manager who was Ukrainian citizen. The client did not face any difficulties in this regard since services of nominal manager are part of our company registration package.

So the second stage of our cooperation concerned obtainment of employment or work permit in Ukraine.

Work permit is rather complicated document which requires to file a number of documents and to comply with a number of requirements.

Probably the most crucial document for the entire process is apostilled copy of college/university diploma. This is why we asked our client to prepare the document in advance (before arriving to Ukraine).

Then, our employees helped the client to apply for medical examinations which are required to be passed in order to get the work permit in Ukraine. Also, we got him no-criminal record certificate which is another important document.

Once all the documents necessary for employment permit in Ukraine were ready, our attorneys submitted them to the Employment center. When the special commission of the Employment center made decision to issue the permit, our lawyers helped to pay the official fee for the authorization document.

By the time we got the permit the client had already left the country so we mailed it to him abroad in order for him to apply for the D-type visa. This visa was necessary for the last stage of our cooperation – obtainment of residence in Ukraine.
